TOGETHER AS ONE

Covering one percent of the Earth’s surface, the rainforests of Indonesia are home to an astounding amount of vegetation and wildlife—10 percent of the world’s plants, 16 percent of reptiles and amphibians, 17 percent of birds, and 12 percent of mammals, including the pygmy elephant, clouded leopard, and the iconic and critically endangered East Borneo orangutan.

To put it simply, protecting the biodiversity of this land is critical for the future of our planet. And it’s something we must do together.

The Impact on Carbon

The rainforest of Borneo acts as a significant carbon sink, absorbing vast amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Reducing carbon dioxide levels helps to stabilize temperatures globally, affecting weather patterns and contributing to fewer extreme weather events around the world.
